The campaign will focus on the financial innovations that the crypto has facilitated and increase awareness about the Coinbase events.
Coinbase, a US-based crypto exchange, is now rolling out another campaign in the country that highlights the role crypto will play in transforming the global financial system. The firm outlined its “Moving America Forward” campaign in a recent blog post.
It will start through a series of four ads featuring Brian Armstrong who is the CEO of this crypto exchange. Most of these ads will either appear with popular Sunday shows or during the breaks of the NBA final series.
The firm noted that it’s now launching the crypto campaign on a national level that is to uncover the important part this underlying technology has in reshaping the global financial systems.
Highlighting the Role of Crypto
Coinbase wants to focus on how technology has the power to change the financial systems. The campaign also aims to uncover the growing adoption of crypto and blockchain technology in other countries, such as China.
Furthermore, it also wants to highlight the national security of the U.S. and its global economic leadership are at stake if the country doesn’t use this technology that will be the core element of the global financial infrastructure in a few years.
The first ad “The History of Money Initiative” would focus on the historical timeline of currency from barter to crypto and will include a campaign on Wall Street “mobile billboard converted from an armored money truck” and “Documenting the historian’s work in a visual manner.”
The second ad “Stand with Crypto Day” will focus on the promotion of the event that focuses on lobbying for the crypto industry by the firm.
It will consist of different community members supporting the policies that are friendly to the respective Congress members. The event will take place on July 19 in Washington D.C.
The last two ads “The State of Crypto Summit” and “Real People Using Crypto for Real Needs” will show individuals are making use of cryptocurrencies to achieve their goals of “Financial Freedom.” It will also promote the other event that Coinbase will hold in New York City on June 22.
Similarities with the Last Campaign
The latest campaign by this US-based crypto exchange follows more or less the same trajectory that its previous ad campaign had from last year. Coinbase aim on highlighting the concept of changing financial systems with the help of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
In March, Coinbase also released an ad on the YouTube platform with the title “It’s Time to Update the Financial System.” Furthermore, it also ran an ad through the NFL Super Bowl in February last year. The ad came with a QR code that allowed users to access a promotional BTC giveaway page.
The Firm Speeding Up Efforts to Lobby for Crypto-Friendly Policies
The majority of the efforts that the company is making is to ensure that there are crypto-friendly policies introduced. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been a clampdown on the crypto exchanges.
This is one of the reasons that the firm has ramped up its lobbying efforts. On May 12th, Coinbase came up with a Global Advisory Council that various industry leaders and former U.S. lawmakers.
The primary purpose of this group was to steer through the “growing complicated and ever-changing” crypto arena internationally.
The company also launched a political campaign back in February which was named “#Crypto435.” The goal of this campaign was to ensure that the voices of the crypto users is recognized in the 435 congressional districts.
